South West Farm Consultants is joining Terrafarmer, the pioneering agricultural consultancy servicing farmers and growers across the UK
South West Farm Consultants (SWFC) was established in 2014 to help farmers transition to more sustainable practices and offer independent advice and support. Over the last 8 years, the consultancy has gained significant respect among both farmers and the wider agricultural industry. With an ever-increasing client list, the time was right to look at the future direction of the business.
Leading experts
Terrafarmer is a unique ‘wholistic’ agricultural consultancy service and is the brainchild of Gemma Clarke of Cope Seeds and Tom Tolputt of SWFC. Terrafarmer brings together some of the UK’s leading experts in the application of regenerative farming practices with decades of combined experience in all aspects of farming, agronomy and soil management.
Sustainable businesses
Combined with state-of-the-art applied soil science and technologies, Terrafarmer offers in-depth advice and support to farmers and growers across the UK who are looking to adopt regenerative practices and employ new approaches to ensure their businesses are more resilient for the challenging future we face.
Tom Tolputt, Terrafarmer’s co-founder, says
“We established South West Farm Consultants to help farmers transition to more sustainable practices. Over the years, we have developed a strong offer—and an ever-increasing client list seeking out our trusted independent advice and services.
“Combining forces under Terrafarmer means we can now offer our existing clients an even greater range of cost-effective services, a larger consultancy team pool of expertise, and access to cutting-edge technologies—all backed up by full administrative support. We look forward to continuing our goal of building healthy soils and sustainable businesses from the ground up.”
While SWFC’s Tom Tolputt and Anthony Ellis join the Terrafarmer team, Anna Heaton has decided to focus on her distinguished career in promoting animal welfare and sustainable farming in the global fashion industry.
